Luella ‘Shorty’ Izenberg
MOUNT VERNON — Luella “Shorty” (Majors) Izenberg, 49, of Mount
Vernon died Nov. 25, 2005, at her residence.
She was born Sept. 27, 1956, in Mount Vernon to James and Doris (Touvell) Majors.
She is survived by her son, Steve Cole of Mount Vernon; a daughter, Serena Cole of Mansfield, sister, Ann (Majors) Ramsey, two brothers, James Majors and J.J. Shoffstall, all of Mount Vernon; two grandsons, Cayleb and Alec Cole; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Winfield Majors; and her stepfather, John Shoffstall.
Friends may call today from 4 to 6 p.m. in the North-Dilley Funeral Home. Graveside service will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Mound View Cemetery.

Mary Ann Lambert
UTICA — Mary Ann Lambert, 77, of Utica went to be with her Lord and Savior,
Jesus Christ, on Sunday, Nov. 27, 2005.
She was born in Mount Vernon to Robert J. and Edith I. (Wyant) Auskings on May 16, 1928. She attended St. Vincent de Paul School and was a member of the Catholic church, later transferring to the Church of the Nativity in Utica. She was employed by Beck’s Drive-In in Mount Vernon and was the manager for several years until she purchased the drive-in shop in Centerburg in 1958. She operated Mary Ann’s Sweet Shop for 10 years where she made many friends and loyal customers. Mary Ann never saw a person she didn’t like and treated everyone with respect and loved serving good food.
She loved sports, especially basketball, and despite declining health, she took one final trip to attend the National College Cross Country championship in Boston in 1997.
Mary Ann was a loving wife, mother and grandmother; and she is survived by her husband of 61 years, Van D. Lambert; her children, Judi (Terry) Crowl, John (Mary Ann) Lambert and Jeffrey Lambert; three grandchildren, Jason (Heidi) Crowl, Natalie (Dave) Lambert-Hale and Joshua (Stacey) Lambert; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and three brothers.
Friends may call Wednesday, Nov. 30, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica, where a vigil service will be held at 8 p.m. A funeral liturgy will be Thursday, Dec. 1, at 10 a.m., at the Church of the Nativity Catholic Church, 126 N. Main St., Utica, with the Rev. Stephen A. Metzger officiating. Burial will follow in Centerburg Cemetery.
Judith A. Lemley
FREDERICKTOWN — Judith Anne Lemley, 56, of Fredericktown died Sunday, Nov.
27, 2005, at her residence following a courageous battle with cancer.
Judy was born Dec. 22, 1948, in Mount Vernon, graduated from Mount Vernon High School in 1967 and attended Bowling Green State University. She had spent her lifetime in Knox County and had been employed as a secretary for Tighe Insurance Agency in Mount Vernon for 10 years and at Cooper Energy Services in Mount Vernon for 13 years. Judy was a true individualist, loved to hunt and fish, and enjoyed camping and gardening.
Surviving are her son, Joshua John Lemley of Fredericktown; her parents, Roy and Marceline (Saldivas) Harrington of Mount Vernon; sister, Debra (David) Alberts of Mount Vernon; former husband and friend, John Lemley of Mount Vernon; aunt, Ruby Welker; nieces and nephew, Kimberly L. Sobers, Christina Kay Ballengee and Chad Richard Sobers; great-nieces and great-nephews, Megan Brianne, Matthew David, Chase Michael and Mackenzie Louise; special friends, Kimberly Lemley, Beverly Ann Sobers, Donna Rafferty and Cathy McMillan; special neighbors ,Jim and Gin; and her feline companion, Sneaky.
Friends may call Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, where funeral service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. Mr. Donald L. Linn will officiate. Burial will follow at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.
