Kenneth R. Baldwin
MOUNT VERNON — Kenneth R. Baldwin, 52, of Mount Vernon died Monday, Nov. 21, 2005, at his home.

He was employed by McDonald’s Corp., Newark Road location, in maintenance management. He was an avid lover and teacher of backyard baseball and football, and he loved the outdoors.

He was preceded in death by “Pop” Clonas Stanley and “Mom” Lilly (Myllens) Stanley, his grandparents who raised him; his parents, father, Raymond, and mother, Mary Alice Stanley; brother, Ronnie Wayne Stanley Baldwin; and stepdaughter, Sharon Freisner.

He is survived by the mother of his children, Nancy Whitt; children, Gary (Kimberly) Baldwin, Sonny Baldwin, Julia (Daniel) Baldwin Shoults and Tony Drake; stepchildren, Sadina Shahan and Marie Nicholson; grandchildren, Cassidy Ann Doyle, Jamal Shivers, Christopher Shoults Jr. and Jerrika Rae Shoults; several stepgrandchildren, which he dearly loved; brothers, Joseph (Joyce) Baldwin and Dale Webb; sisters, Margaret (Gary) Salyers and Kathy (Jerry) Benson; and numerous nieces and nephews, which he dearly loved.

Friends may call Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Johnson-Melick-Moreland Funeral Home, 49 W. Church St., Centerburg. Graveside service and burial will be held Sunday, Nov. 25, in Clintwood, Va.

Blanche E. Blair
MOUNT VERNON — Blanche E. Blair, 97, of Ridgewood Ave., Mount Vernon, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2005, at Country Club Nursing Center in Mount Vernon.

She was born Feb. 19, 1908, in Monroe County to Frank and Hattie (Masters) Morton. Mrs. Blair retired in 1975 after 22 years of employment with the Mount Vernon Developmental Center. She attended the Ebenezer United Methodist Church and was a member of the Ohio Eastern Star Chapter 238 of Summerfield.

She is survived by two sons, Donald (Doris) Ullman of Ostrander and Larry (Ann) Ullman of Fredericktown; two grandchildren, Matthew Ullman and Buffy Lee Ann Barclay; several stepgrandchildren; two great-grandchildren, Mesa Ullman and Hanna Barclay; several stepgreat-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Wanda Ullman.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Earl Ullman; her second husband, Dale T. Blair; a son, John Franklin Ullman; a stepson, Rodney Blair; four brothers, Edgar Morton, Virgil Morton, Earl Morton and Ray Morton; and two sisters, Audra Roeser and Gladys Morton.

A funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Snyder Funeral Home of Fredericktown, where friends may call one hour prior. A graveside service will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. in Stafford Cemetery in Monroe County.

Kenneth R. Hurlow
MOUNT VERNON — Kenneth R. Hurlow, 78, of Mount Vernon died Nov. 22, 2005, at his residence.

He was born Jan. 20, 1927, in Mount Vernon. He was a member of Gay Street United Methodist Church; and was a member and past master of Mount Zion Lodge 9 F&AM. Mr. Hurlow was an Army veteran of World War II. He had been a self-employed automotive machinist for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Alice (Nethers) Hurlow, to whom he had been married 54 years; two sons, Jeffery (Julie) Hurlow of Largo, Fla., and Daniel (Suzanne) Hurlow of Woodbridge, Va.; two grandsons, Jesse (Tracy) Hurlow of Zanesville and Chase Hurlow of Columbus; one brother, Larry (Lee Ann) Hurlow of Mount Vernon; one sister, Jean (Dave) Dilks of Milo, Mich.

He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Hurlow; mother, Iva Hurlow Poulton; and two brothers, Robert and Jack Hurlow.

Friends may call Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the North-Dilley Funeral Home, where the funeral will be Monday at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Dr. David A. Baker officiating. Burial will be in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens. Masonic service will be Sunday at 4 p.m. at the funeral home.

Theresa B. Logan
MOUNT VERNON — Theresa B. Logan, 87, of Avalon Road, Mount Vernon, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2005, at The Laurels of Mount Vernon.

She was born Feb. 4, 1918, in Camelstown, Ohio, to Darrell and Alice (Greggerson) Swisher. She graduated from Earlham College and received her bachelor’s degree in English literature. Theresa was an avid golfer and always loved a good game of bridge.

She is survived by three sons, Gary Heet of Gulliver, Mich., William Heet of Santa Barbara, Calif., and James (Marybeth) Hudson of Charlotte, N.C.; nine grandchildren, including Julie Presley; and three great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, William Heet; second husband, Robert Hudson Jr.; third husband, Dr. James Logan; and a daughter, Sally Heet.

The family will observe a private service at a later date. The Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
