Arthur Dean Ferris
MOUNT VERNON — Arthur Dean Ferris, 63, of Howard Street, Mount Vernon, passed away Sunday, Nov. 20, 2005, at the VA hospital in Cleveland, Ohio.

He was born May 23, 1942, in Mount Vernon to Lewis James and Hazel (Durbin) Ferris. He was a member of the Woods Christian Church. Dean was a 1961 graduate of Mount Vernon High School and a 1962 graduate of the Cleveland Engineering Institute. He was employed with the United States Post Office in New York before moving to Mount Vernon and working in the Mount Vernon City School system. Dean served four years in the U.S. Navy.

He is survived by his mother; a son, Lewis Frank “Lee” (Lisa) Ferris of Brooklyn, N.Y.; two sisters, Norma (Gary) Dickerson of Howard and Linda Frazee of Mount Vernon; four nephews, Robert Dickerson, Neal Dickerson, Joe Frazee and Dan Frazee.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Friends may call Wednesday, Nov. 30, from noon to 2 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, where a funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Thomas Booth officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens with military graveside honors provided by the Knox County Joint Veterans Council.

K.B. Graves
FREDERICKTOWN — K.B. Graves, 83, of Colony Drive, Fredericktown, passed away Monday, Nov. 21, 2005, at Country Club Retirement Campus in Mount Vernon.

He was born Nov. 14, 1922, in Williamstown, Mo., to William and Ada (Carroll) Graves. Mr. Graves was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He had retired from American Smelting and Refining Company (ASARCO) in Amarillo, Texas. Mr. Graves served in the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Clara (Caldwell) Graves; a daughter, Martha Frye (Jim) Stone of Butler; two grandchildren, Brian Frye and Sherry Frye, both of Columbus; a great-granddaughter, Amber Frye; a brother, Kenneth Graves of Texas; and a sister, Beulah Kuskulis of Colorado.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Richard K. Graves; a brother, Earl Graves; and two sisters, Lucille Stanford and Beatrice Graves.

A funeral service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, where friends may call one hour prior. Brother Brian Groom will officiate. Burial will follow in Mound View Cemetery.

Kenneth R. Hurlow
MOUNT VERNON — Kenneth R. Hurlow, 78, of Mount Vernon died Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2005, at his residence. The North-Dilley Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Theresa B. Logan
MOUNT VERNON — Theresa B. Logan, 87, of Mount Vernon, formerly of Richmond, Ind., passed away Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2005, at The Laurels of Mount Vernon. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, Mount Vernon.

Deborah K. Richards
WESTERVILLE — Deborah K. Richards, 54, passed away Nov. 21, 2005, at Columbus Colony Elder Care in Westerville.

She is survived by her father, Carl Richards of Utica; brother, Austin (Wilma) Richards of Newark; sister, Linda (Larry) Wright of Johnstown; twin sister, Brenda (Tom) Atkins of Croton; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Grace Richards, on Dec. 12, 1981.

Deborah graduated from the Ohio School For The Deaf in 1971 and lived in California for 20 years. She was previously employed at a VA Hospital in California and at DFAS and A2Z Careers in Columbus.

A memorial service will be held at Columbus Colony Housing, 1165 Colony Drive, Westerville, on Saturday, Nov. 26, at 2 p.m.
