Cathy Lee Burson
FREDERICKTOWN — Cathy Lee Burson, 53, of Fredericktown passed away Sunday, Oct. 30, 2005, at her home. The arrangements are under the care and direction of the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home.

Clyde Ferenbaugh
MOUNT VERNON — Clyde “Fuzzy” Ferenbaugh, 80, died Thursday, Oct. 27, 2005, at The Laurels of Mount Vernon.

He was born Jan. 27, 1925, in Knox County to Glenn D. and Ferol M. (Payne) Ferenbaugh. He served in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1946. He was a member of the Eagles in Mount Vernon, and owned and operated Ferenbaugh Lumber sawmill.

He is survived by three sons, Charles (Cindy) Ferenbaugh of Columbus, Chris (Jamie) Ferenbaugh of Millwood and Conard Ferenbaugh of Howard; three daughters, Louise Keohler and Shirley Warren of Coshocton, and Connie Ferenbaugh of Millwood; three stepchildren, Larry, Dwight and Jerry Wolford of Mount Vernon; six sisters, Marilla Thorpe and Twila (Dick) Colopy of Danville, Lucille (Rich) Greer of Butler, Kay (Jake) Weyhmeller of Bellville, Helen (Don) Grassbaugh of Glendale, Ariz., and Carol (Bill) Grassbaugh of Glenmont; six brothers, Rodney of Mount Vernon, Robert of Chillicothe, Glenn Jr. (Martha) of Howard, Albert (Denise) and Gerald (Wendy) of Danville, and Edward (Chris) Ferenbaugh of Glenmont; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Wolford; a sister; Rosalie Boyce; and a nephew, Danny Ferenbaugh.

Calling hours will be today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville, where funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. Pastor Lloyd Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Workman Cemetery, Danville.

MOUNT VERNON — James Holcomb of Mount Vernon passed away Sunday, Oct. 30, 2005, at the Riverside Methodist Hospital. The arrangements are under the care and direction of the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home.

MOUNT VERNON — Carl G. Jones, 80, of Westwood Drive, Mount Vernon, passed away Sunday, Oct. 30, 2005, at the Riverside Methodist Hospital. The arrangements are under the care and direction of the Snyder Funeral Home in Mount Vernon.

Janet R. Nicholls
MOUNT VERNON — Janet R. Nicholls, 77, of Mount Vernon died Oct. 28, 2005, at Knox Community Hospital.

She was born Dec. 19, 1927, in Knox County to Clarence and Gladys (Doup) Baker. Janet was a 65-year member of the Ebenezer United Methodist Church and was active with the Ebenezer Women’s Garden Club.

She is survived by a son, Stephen James Nicholls of Mount Vernon; three sisters, Opal Carter, Donna Nicholls and Kathleen (Lawrence) Layman, all of Mount Vernon; a brother, Paul (Debra) Baker of Mount Vernon; a close friend, Harold Nauman of Fredericktown; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Otis C. Nicholls; and three brothers, Robert, Clarence Jr. and Donald Baker.

At her request there will be no calling hours. Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Ebenezer Cemetery with the Rev. Dale Stanford officiating.

Andrew J. Wenger
MOUNT VERNON — Andrew J. Wenger, 65, of Harcourt Road, Mount Vernon, passed away Sunday, Oct. 30, 2005, at The Laurels of Mount Vernon.

He was born Feb. 22, 1940, in Galena to August and Maggie Thelma (MacFarland) Wenger Sr. Mr. Wenger served in the U.S. Army for eight years, with most of his service time being in Germany and Fort Knox, Ky.

He is survived by his daughter, Angie (Joe) Hawk of Mount Vernon; three sisters, Judy (Robert) Nelson of Virginia, Jessie Fancher of Florida, Ina Swisshelm of Virginia; a brother, David Wenger of Danville; and a sister-in-law, Junie Wenger of Jelloway.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Thelma Mitchell; and a brother, August Wenger.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, Nov. 14, 2005, at 11 a.m.. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home. The family will observe a private burial in Mound View Cemetery.
