Gary L. Willey
WARSAW — Gerald Lee “Gary” Willey, 65, of 36622 U.S. 36, died
June 8, 2005, at the Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, S.C., after sustaining
injuries in a motorcycle accident on May 30.
He was born July 1, 1939, in Zanesville to Marabell (Ashcraft) and Floyd Willey. He married Anna Gayle (Williams) Willey on Aug. 3, 1972. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, worked as a carpenter, a basket maker at the Longaberger Co. for the last 10 years, a member of the Coshocton OES, the Nellie UMC, a member of the Warsaw Masonic Lodge, a retired member of the Carpenters Local 200 in Columbus, a member of the Columbus Aladdin Shrine, past president and past zone chairman of the Warsaw Lions Club, served on the River View Park Board and was a past president and the charter director of the Coshocton Charter G GWRRA.
He is survived by his wife, Anna Gayle; his mother, Marabell Anderson of Coshocton, four daughters, Mara Lee (Donis) Mitchell of Coshocton, Kara Willey of Warsaw, Sherri Vickers of Dundee and Lisa (David) Hallaman of Bolivar, Mont.; two sons, Jerry (Janet) Austin of Coshocton and Garry Austin of Warsaw; and 12 grandchildren, Dustin Austin, Andrew, Matthew and Katie Vickers, Nicole and Zach Austin, Gabe, Maisie, Jake and Mandalin Mitchell, Shelby Fortney and Gunner Willey.
He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd Willey.
The funeral will be Monday, June 13, at 11 a.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw, with the Rev. Gary Rinker officiating. Burial will be in Darling Run Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m., with a Masonic service at 7:45 p.m.
