GAMBIER — Lillian M. Balcolm, 92, of Gaskin Avenue, Gambier, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2005, at Country Court Nursing Center in Mount Vernon. These services are under the care and direction of the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home.
Oda B. Hissong
MOUNT VERNON — Oda B. Hissong, 98, of Mount Vernon died May 23, 2005, at her residence. The North-Dilley Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
H. Roy Lower Jr.
LANCASTER — H. Roy Lower Jr., 68, of Lancaster died Saturday, May 21, 2005, at Fairfield Medical Center.
He was a member of St. Mary Church, Knights of Columbus and Moose Lodge. He retired as store manager at Hoch’s Interiors and previously worked at Bininger’s IGA as a meat cutter.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Janice (Stoneburner) Lower; daughter, Jill (Mike) Sabol of Lancaster; son, Jeffrey (Christina) Lower of Lancaster; and seven grandchildren, Ashley, Andrea, Alisha, Amber and Amy Lower, and Ryan and Patrick Sabol.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Mary (Berry) Lower Sr.; and sisters, Anita Lower and Rita Williams.
Funeral Mass will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Church with the Revs. Donald Franks and Denis Kigozi. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Friends may visit Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Sheridan Funeral Home, 222 S. Columbus St., Lancaster, where a vigil will be held in the evening.
