Robert L. Green
MOUNT VERNON — Robert L. Green, 77, of Mount Vernon died Sunday, May 22,
2005, at the Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon following an extended illness.
Robert was born April 4, 1928, in Graysville to Cecil F. and Ollie (Hartsorn) Green. He retired in 1990 from Keiser Aluminum where he had been employed as an electrician for 30 years. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict.
Robert was a member of the First Christian Church, Disciples in Christ, in Mount Vernon; the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Mount Vernon; and the Mount Vernon Moose Lodge. Robert was active with the Moose Lodge having served as past governor, past district vice president and he held the Fellowship Degree.
Surviving are his wife, Winifred (Rucka) Green, whom he married Nov. 27, 1965; his daughter, Denise (Lynn) Beveridge of Mount Vernon; three sons, Kenneth (Vicki) Rice of Page, Ariz., Timothy (Cindy) Rice of Mount Vernon and Thomas (Diana) Rice of Dallas, Ore.; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Roger Green of Washington; and a sister, Nancy Mallett of Belpre.
Besides his parents, a brother, Von Green, preceded him in death.
Graveside service will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Mound View Cemetery at Mount Vernon with the Rev. Jamie Gump and Lynn Beveridge officiating. The family will receive friends at the cemetery one hour before the service. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home in Mount Vernon.

Eunice M. Welshans
BELLVILLE — Eunice M. Welshans, 65, of Bellville died May 20, 2005, in her
home following a extended illness.
She was born July 30, 1939, in Bridgeport, W.Va., to Thomas Ray and Maggie (Crouse) Hatten.
She is survived by her husband, Harry Ray Welshans Sr.; their children, Cynthia Lee, Harry Welshans Jr., Jeffrey Scott, Mary Welshans, Michael Thomas and Wendy Welshans; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters; and two brothers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter; a grandson; a sister; and her stepfather.
Friends may call Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in Bellville Snyder Funeral Home, where the funeral service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. Pastor Steve Kistler will officiate. Burial will follow in Bellville Cemetery.
