Gary L. Allen
MOUNT VERNON — Gary Lee Allen, 71, of Mount Vernon died May 1, 2005, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. The North-Dilley Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Donald W. Ashcraft
NEWARK — A funeral service for Donald Wayne Ashcraft, 82, of Newark, will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home with Pastor Tony Bartlette officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Mr. Ashcraft passed away April 30, 2005, at the Selma Markowitz Hospice Care Center.

He was born Sept. 16, 1922, in Frazeysburg to Granville and Nellie (Fairall) Ashcraft. Wayne faithfully served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He attended the Licking County Church of God, and was a member of the Bladensburg Masonic Lodge. Wayne enjoyed working on airplanes and was a master mechanic.

Wayne leaves behind his loving family consisting of a daughter, Donna (Gary) Bachelor of Newark; son, Terry (Charlotte) Ashcraft of Kirkersville; sister, Mildred (Earl) Hannah of Newark; brother, Herbert Ashcraft of Newark; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Rhea Lucille Ashcraft, who passed away July 25, 2004; three brothers; and two sisters.

Preston A. Billman
MOUNT VERNON — Preston Allan Billman, infant son of Jeffrey Billman and Laura Ware was stillborn on Thursday, April 28, 2005, at Knox Community Hospital.

Besides his parents he is survived by a brother, Jeffrey Billman of Heath; a sister, Ashlyn Billman of Heath; maternal grandparents, Don (Paula) Vance Sr. of Old Town, Fla.; paternal grandparents, Dwight (Rosalee) Billman of Laredo, Texas, and Patricia Whisner of Danville; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Vance Billman; and maternal grandmother, Sandra Moran.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Ebenezer Cemetery. The services are under the care and direction of the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home.

Guy S. Lowery
FRESNO — Guy Swigert Lowery, 82, of 54678 County Road 2, Fresno, died Saturday, April 30, 2005, at the Coshocton County Memorial Hospital.

Calling hours will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw. A private family funeral will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Jonathan Truax officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Fresno.

Joan Ramsey
MOUNT VERNON — Joan Ramsey, 72, of Mount Vernon died April 29, 2005, at The Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus.

She was born Sept. 6, 1932, in Beacon, N.Y., to Kenneth and Almedia (Risk) Eddy.

She is survived by a son, David (Judy) Ramsey of Mansfield; two sisters, Pheobe (Walter) Murray and Barbara (Henry) Huneke, both of New York; a brother, Henry (Cindy) Eddy of Florida; two grandchildren, Bryan and Brittney Ramsey; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Paul Ramsey, in 2001.

Friends may call on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the North-Dilley Funeral Home. Family will observe a private burial at a later date.

David E. Rardin
ASHLEY — David E. Rardin, 60, of Ashley Road, Ashley, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 30, 2005, at Grady Memorial Hospital in Delaware.

He was born May 29, 1944, in Mount Vernon to Henry Rardin and Florence (Spegal) Cooley. David was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church UPC and worked as an analyst for Highlights For Children in Columbus.

He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Deanna (Eyster) Rardin; two daughters, Robin (William) Bard of Plain City and Christine Sadzewicz of Delaware; six grandchildren, Christopher, Zachary, Eleesha, David, Michaela and Sara; his mother; and two brothers, Robert (Kim) Rardin and Roger (Chrystal) Rardin, both of Mount Vernon.

Besides his father he was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Rardin Hall.

Friends may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 E. High St., Mount Vernon, OH 43050; where a funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. The Rev. Duane Kramer will officiate. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.

Spencer L. Schaub
GLENMONT — Spencer Logan Schaub, 3 months, 5 days old, of 3479 County Road 25, Glenmont, died at 9:30 a.m. Friday, April 29, 2005, at the Joel Pomerene Hospital in Millersburg.

He was born Jan. 24, 2005, in Millersburg to Rebecca D. (Riley) and Richard B. Schaub.

He is survived by his parents; three sisters, Tina Schaub of Ashland, Theresa Schaub of Nankin and Kaitlyn Riley of the home; five grandparents, Paul and Eileen Schaub of Greer, Robert and Nancy Riley of Las Vegas, Nev., and Ellen Riley of Tiverton; three great-grandparents, Lottie Schaub of Greer, and Angela and Pasquale Pacitto of Roslindale, Mass.; several aunts and uncles; two nephews; and one niece.

He was preceded in death by one great-grandmother, Julia Riley; two great-grandfathers, Harvey Cecil Riley and Henry Phillip Schaub; and one grandfather, Richard B. Schaub.

Calling hours will be today from 1 to 2 p.m. in the Fischer Funeral Home, Warsaw. A private family graveside service, with the Rev. Rae Anderson officiating, will follow in Tiverton Cemetery.

Phyllis Snow
MOUNT VERNON — Phyllis Snow, 62, of Mount Vernon died April 29, 2005, at her residence.

She was born Sept. 11, 1942, in Altus, Okla.

She is survived by a daughter, Anita Renia Lee of Mount Vernon; two sons, James Earl (Anita) Adams of Nellie and Robert Shane (Suzie) Adams of Mount Vernon; three grandchildren, Shoshanna Lee and Matthew Adams, both of Mount Vernon, and Sheridan Adams of Nellie; her father, Wendell Snow, and step-mother, Phyllis Snow, of Orange, Calif.

She was preceded in death by a grandson.

Friends may call today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the North-Dilley Funeral Home, where funeral service will follow at 8 p.m. with Mr. Don Linn officiating.
