Steven E. Caudill
DELAWARE — Steven E. Caudill, 54, of Delaware, formerly of Marengo, died
early Saturday morning, Feb. 5, 2005, at Sunny Vee Nursing Home in Delaware.
He was born in Kentucky on Jan. 13, 1951, to Harlan and Mattie (Hammiett) Caudill.
His family moved to Marengo in 1964 from Hazard, Ky. A caring person who loved
children, proud of his family, he collected coins and enjoyed audio books.
He is survived by sisters, Jo (Dannie) Vermillion of Ashley and Pat Hankins and
her fiancé, Doug Baron of Johnsville; brothers, James (Pauline) Caudill
of Columbus, Astor (Dora) Caudill of Marengo, Charles Caudill of Cardington and
Darrell (Connie) Caudill of Viper, Ky.; numerous nieces and nephews; and great-nieces
and great-nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Maerene Caudill.
Friends may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Ohio
229, Marengo, where services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. The Rev. Crate D. Sparks
will officiate. Burial will follow in Bloomfield Cemetery near Sparta.

Mary L. Mosher
DUBLIN — Mary L. Mosher, 69, of Dublin, formerly of Marengo, died Friday,
Feb. 4, 2005, at Kobacker House in Columbus.
She was born June 11, 1935, in Columbus to John and Flora (Carey) Esty. A graduate
of Marengo High School Class of 1953, she worked as a secretary for the ODOT district
office in Delaware and retired in 1997 from Columbus Coated Fabrics as an industrial
nurse.
She is survived by daughters, Rebecca A. “Becky” (Earl) Fisher of
Marengo and Regina S. (John) Hill of Sunbury; a son, Paul E. Snyder of Burkburnett,
Texas; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a brother, Ralph B. (Sylvia)
Esty of Marengo.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, John Snyder
and Bryant Mosher; a daughter, Rhonda J. Plouck, on Oct. 6, 2004; and brothers,
John and Paul Esty.
Graveside service will be Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. in Marengo Cemetery. The Rev.
Beverly Hall will officiate. Arrangements are in care of DeVore-Snyder Funeral
Homes.

MOUNT VERNON — Donald S. Sovine, 81, of Harcourt Road, Mount Vernon, passed
away Sunday, Feb. 6, 2005, at MedCentral Health System in Mansfield. The arrangements
are under the care and direction of the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home.
