passed away Saturday, Dec. 25, 2004, at Country Court Nursing Center. Arrangements
are under the care and direction of the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home.
Everett Brubaker
FREDERICKTOWN — Everett “Tuffy” Brubaker, 84, of Fredericktown
passed away Sunday, Dec. 26, 2004, at Morrow Manor Nursing Home in Chesterville.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Snyder Funeral Home of Fredericktown.
Wayne E. Hough
MOUNT VERNON — Wayne E. Hough, 82, of Columbus Road, Mount Vernon, passed
away Friday, Dec. 24, 2004, at Knox Community Hospital.
He was born Feb. 2, 1922, in Huron County to William and Eva (Watts) Hough. Wayne retired in 1986 from the Local 42 Plumber and Pipefitters and had served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a member of the Moose 2555 and was a lifelong member of the AMVETS 26 and American Legion 16. Wayne was also a member of the Old Duffers Golf Club at Forrest Hills Golf Course in Mansfield. He will be remembered most for helping others and loving his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Lois (Haberkorn) Hough; two sons, James Montgomery of Columbus and Russ Montgomery of Mansfield; three daughters, Cindy (Jim Hiner) Edwards of Mount Vernon, Melissa (Norman Gottschalk III) Austin of Rootstown and Nikki (John) Freeman of Westerville; six grandchildren; brother-in-law, Robert Byrnes of Arlington, Va.; nieces and nephews; and his beloved pet, Sadie Mae.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two sons, Ronald Hough and William Montgomery; and a sister, Thelma Byrnes.
A memorial service will be conducted Thursday at 1 p.m. at The Salvation Army, 206 E. Ohio Ave., Mount Vernon 43050. These services are under the care and direction of the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home.

Russell F. Kreager
NEWARK — A funeral service for Russell F. Kreager, 80, of Newark was today
at 11 a.m. at the Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica, with the Rev.
Ron Hall officiating. Burial was to follow in Spring Grove Cemetery, Newark.
Russell went home to be with the Lord on Dec. 22, 2004, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus. He was born July 28, 1924, in Hanover to Homer and Mabel (Shaw) Kreager.
Mr. Kreager was a retired farmer; World War II veteran; retired school bus driver for North Fork Schools; member of Mount Carmel Christian Union Church; member of Madison Grange for 65 years; and member of Licking County Pomona Grange, Ohio Grange and National Grange. He was a former grange deputy for Licking County. Russell loved to fish and travel with his wife and family.
He is survived by his soul mate of 62 years, Helen (Davis) Kreager; daughter, Joann (Stephen) Torrens of Utica; son, Russell Kreager of LaCanto, Fla.; six grandchildren, Andrew Torrens of Utica, Paul Torrens of Columbus, Stephanie (Larry) Green of Utica, Konnie Nelson of Newark, Stacy (Jodi) Kreager of Mount Vernon, Eugene (Mikki) Kreager of Newark; 11 great-grandchildren, Zach, Jake, Seth, David and Carlie Torrens, Daniel, Stephen and Ashley Green, all of Utica, Quinten Nelson, Kamden and Kellia Kreager, all of Newark; a stepbrother, Denzel (Gladys) Morrison; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Hazel Hoy; brother, Roy Kreager; stepbrother, Herman Morrison.

FREDERICKTOWN — Delbert E. Lewis, 54, of Fredericktown died Dec. 23, 2004,
at Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon. The North-Dilley Funeral Home is in

Marie E. Walton
MOUNT VERNON — Marie E. Walton, 55, of Mount Vernon died Dec. 23, 2004,
at The Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus.
She was born Sept. 25, 1949, in South Portland, Maine, to Herbert and Ethel (Emerton) Ward. She was a member of the Mulberry Street United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Daniel E. Walton, to whom she had been married 37 years; a daughter, Deborah (Daniel) Erford of Findlay; a son, Marc (Tina) Walton of Fredericktown; six grandchildren; a twin brother, Michael (Shirley) Ward of South Portland, Maine; and a sister, Linda (Ed) Lewicki of Plainville, Mass.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Clyde Ward.
Friends may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the North-Dilley Funeral Home. Where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Mound View Cemetery.
