Joe Alicie
MOUNT VERNON — Joe Alicie, 85, of Mount Vernon died Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2004, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.
He was a retired farmer and lifetime member of the Centerburg Conservation Club. He was also a charter member of Moose Lodge 2555, Mount Vernon; board member of Morrow County Crippled Children; and former trustee and clerk of South Bloomfield Township.
He is survived by children, Bobbie Alicie, Harold “Tom” Alicie, Aleta (Gary) Young and Donald (Truda) Alicie, all of Mount Vernon; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Fil Alicie of West Virginia, Clarence “Preacher” Alicie and James (Shelby) Edward, both of Virginia, and Ida Boling of Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ella Pearl Alicie; sons, Marvin Ray and Lawrence Edward; a daughter, Cynthia Ann; and two infant children.
Friends may call Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Johnson-Melick-Moreland Funeral Home, 49 W. Church St., Centerburg, where service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Bloomfield Cemetery.

Florence E. Kriner
Memorial Notice
MOUNT VERNON — Florence E. Kriner, 95, of Mount Vernon died Oct. 3, 2004, at The Laurels of Mount Vernon. A memorial service will be held Sunday, Oct. 31, at 2 p.m. at the Seventh-day Adventist City Church, 425 S. Edgewood Road, Mount Vernon. The North-Dilley Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.

Marcia Lane Litrico
MOUNT VERNON — Marcia Lane Litrico, 82, formerly of Rocky River, passed away Saturday, Oct. 23, 2004, in Mount Vernon.
Beloved mother of Dennis E. (Lynne) Lane of Wisconsin, Kenneth E. (Michele) Lane and Linda (Cliff) Hartford-Davis of Mount Vernon; grandmother of Jeffrey (Tricia) Hartford, Carrie Hartford, Suzanne Lane, Alan Lane, Cindy (Chris) Monger and Joy (Brian) Geib; and great-grandmother of Kayla Hartford, Kaylen Wilkins, Sara Geib and Natalie Geib.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Litrico; grandson, Douglas Lane; daughter-in-law, Kim Lane; and numerous siblings.
Memorial service will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. in the Chapel at Sunset Memorial Park, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted. Arrangements by Dostal Funeral Service, North Olmsted, www.dostalfuneralservices.com.

Robert J. Ringo
SUNBURY — Robert J. “Bob” Ringo, 66, of Sunbury died Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2004, at Mount Carmel East.
He was born March 17, 1938, in Dayton to Russell G. and Mildred D. (Wilson) Ringo. Bob graduated from Northridge High School in 1956 and earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Otterbein College. He moved to Sunbury in 2000 from Tipp City, where he had resided for 39 years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Bev (Peck); daughters, Jenny Ringo of Powell and Julie (Rick) Flury of Westerville; grandson, Nicholas; brother, Ron (Carol Lou) Ringo of Sarasota, Fla., formerly of Vandalia; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by sister, Jackie Collins.
Friends may call Saturday from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m., with a Masonic services at 6:30 p.m., at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Ohio 3 at Ohio 61, Sunbury. Services will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Sunbury United Methodist Church with Pastor Brian Smith officiating. Interment will be in Sunbury Memorial Park.

Lillian E. Smiley
AUGUSTA, Mich. — Lillian E. Smiley, 90, of Augusta, Mich., formerly of Mount Vernon, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2004, in Battle Creek, Mich.
She was born Oct. 17, 1914, in Clarksburg, W.Va., the daughter of William and Edna Iva (Mitchell) Bacchus. Mrs. Smiley worked as a clerk for J.C. Penney and The Fabric Circle, had attended the Level Park Baptist Church in Battle Creek and was the past president of the Ladies Auxiliary at the Galion Elks.
She is survived by three daughters, Marcia (Donald) Burson of Fredericktown, Sally Segner of Augusta, Mich., and Vickie (Bob) Stepp of Port St. Lucy, Fla.; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a brother, Louis Bacchus of Florida; and a sister, Jean (Richard) Elzey of Columbus.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Smiley; two brothers, Robert and Woodrow Bacchus; and a sister, Ann Boyle.
Funeral will be held Saturday at noon at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home in Mount Vernon with Pastor Joe Blevins officiating. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
