MOUNT VERNON — Dottie L. Fox, 59, of East Curtis Street, Mount Vernon, passed
away Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2004, at Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon. These
services are under the care and direction of the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home.
Clara D. Mast
BRINKHAVEN — Clara D. Mast, 81, of 1493 Ohio 206, Brinkhaven, died Oct.
6, 2004, at her residence.
She was born Sept. 11, 1923, in Millersburg to Henry and Sarah (Schrock) Beachy.
She is survived by her husband, Demas Mast Jr., whom she married March 3, 1947. Also surviving is a daughter, Sarah (Ray) Yoder of Brinkhaven; five brothers, Andy, Mose and Henry Beachy of Millersburg, Sylvanus Beachy of Sugarcreek and Aden Beachy of Florida; and three sisters, Lizzie Ann Raber of Dundee, Anna Hershberger of Millersburg and Arie Keim of Berlin.
She was preceded in death by a son, Henry; a grandson, Adam Yoder; three brothers, Emanuel, Christ and Elmer Beachy; a sister, Katie Ann Miller; and an infant brother.
Funeral will be Friday at 9 a.m. at the home with Abe Borntrager officiating. Burial will be in the Mast Cemetery. Friends may call anytime Thursday at the home.
The Fischer Funeral Home in Danville is assisting with the arrangements.
Lillian Travis
FREDERICKTOWN — Lillian Jo Anne Travis, 76, of Gregg Road, Fredericktown,
went to with her Lord on Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2004.
She was born in Junction City on April 14, 1928, the daughter of Charles Roy and Ruth Eleanor (Engel) Deitrich; and since 1949 was actively involved in her husband’s ministry as they spread God’s word in Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Pennsylvania and Florida. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Bradenton, Fla. Mrs. Travis enjoyed reading, keeping a journal, music, cooking, plants and her family.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Wilbur Gene Travis, whom she married June 10, 1949; three daughters, Ruth Anne (Larry) Huffstutler of Fredericktown, Patricia Ann (Russell) Dunaway of Cincinnati and Judy Kay (David) Brough of Louisville, Ky.; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Colleen Elsie Nickerson of Holiday, Fla.; a brother, Charles (Garnet) Deitrich of Millersburg; and an aunt, Mildred McKee of Mansfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Donovan Deitrich.
A celebration of life service will be Saturday, Oct. 16, at 11 a.m. at the Palmyra Church of Christ at Fredericktown. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
