Debbie Sue Hanes
HARDINGSBURG, Ind. — Debbie Sue Hanes, 49, of Hardingsburg, Ind., passed away April 21, 2004.
She left behind a significant other, John Walker and an ex-husband; close family friend, Ed Hanes; three sons, Jeremy, Kevin and Shawn Hanes, all of Indiana; four grandchildren, Kyle, Kaitlyn, Justin and Faizon, and one soon-to-be grandchild; five sisters, India, Sherry, Carmen, Teresa and Greta; and two brothers, Gary and David.
Debbie had a great love of animals and will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.
Friends may call Tuesday from 9 a.m. to noon at Kauber-Miller Funeral Home, Pataskala, where funeral will follow at noon. Pastor Calvin Alexander will officiate. Burial will be in Jersey Universalist Cemetery.

John Nugent Sr.
MOUNT VERNON — John R. Nugent Sr., 88, of Mount Vernon passed away Friday, April 23, 2004, at Knox Community Hospital.
He was born Oct. 5, 1915, in Mount Vernon the son of Nelson and Jane (Brining) Nugent and had been a lifelong resident of the Mount Vernon area. He was a veteran of the Ohio National Guard and had served as a Marine during World War II. John retired from Continental Can in 1975, where he had been employed for 38 years.
He is survived by a son, John Nugent Jr. of Newark; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn Nugent; a brother, Robert Nugent; and two sister, Margaret Nugent and Hazel Sutton.
Funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon. The Rev. Rod Buchanan will officiate. Interment will follow in Mound View Cemetery.
