FREDERICKTOWN — Margaret (Ruggles) Franks, 90, of Fredericktown died Tuesday,
April 20, 2004, at the Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon.
Friends may call Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Snyder Funeral Home at
Fredericktown, with Ohio Eastern Star memorial service by Ann Hill Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star to follow. Graveside service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in Forest Cemetery at Fredericktown.

Jack Hookway
MOUNT VERNON — Jack Hookway, 83, of Mount Vernon died Tuesday, April 20,
2004, at MedCentral in Mansfield.
Jack was born Dec. 14, 1920, in Mount Vernon and had lived his lifetime in the Mount Vernon area. He retired from Cooper Energy Services in Mount Vernon in 1985. Jack was an active member of the Colonial City Moose Lodge in Mount Vernon since 1942. He held the Pilgrim Degree and was a past Governor.
Surviving are his brother-in-law, Jams (Sylvia) Melton of Mount Vernon; his sisters-in-law, Helen Cochran of Mount Vernon and Maxine Wachs of Ontario; and several nieces and nephews.
Hew as preceded in death by his wife, Mildred (Melton) Hookway; and two half brothers, Dwight “Shorty” Cochran and Ned Cochran.
Friends may call Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, with Moose Lodge memorial service to follow. Funeral service will be Friday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. The Rev. Jamie Gump will officiate. Burial will follow in Mound View Cemetery.

Brian M. Spetka
COLUMBUS — Brian M. Spetka, age 51, of Columbus died Tuesday, April 20,
2004, at the Kobacher House Hospice in Columbus.
He was the son of Richard L. Spetka of Mount Vernon and the late Hazel (McKinnon) Spetka.
Service will be conducted Saturday, April 24, at 10 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Mount Vernon. The Richard Riedel will officiate. The Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home in Mount Vernon is assisting the family with arrangements.
