Jere Abrigg
POLAND — Jere Abrigg passed away Thursday, April 15, 2004, at her daughter
and caretaker Betsy’s residence in Mount Vernon.
She was born the daughter of John and Thelma (Ted) Wolfe on Aug. 12, 1929. She was a wife, mother and homemaker. She was a 1948 graduate of Poland Seminary High School. She was a 58-year member of the Poland Presbyterian Church and was a retired employee of the Heart Center of Ohio.
Her first husband, Norman Wright, whom she married in June 1952, died in March 1973. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Joan M. Wolfe.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, George Abrigg of Boardman, whom she married August 1981. She is survived by her daughters, Joan (Jack) Lally of Poland and Betsy (Tom) Easterday of Mount Vernon; her son, John (Karen) Wright of Mount Vernon; her stepchildren, Deborah (Myron) Krebsbach of Edmonds, Wash., Diane (Edward) Estes of Norfolk, Va., Dorinda Abrigg of Canfield and Bryon (Jody) Abrigg of Canfield; 20 grandchildren; and a niece, Susan Armstrong of Ocala, Fla. She will be missed by a large circle of cousins, friends and extended family.
Calling hours will be Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. in Cunningham Becker Funeral Home in Poland. The funeral will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Poland Presbyterian Church.

Howard ‘Ed’ Cochran
MARENGO — Howard E. “Ed” Cochran, 67, of Marengo died unexpectedly
as a result of injuries sustained in an ATV accident on Thursday, April 16, 2004.
He was born April 2, 1937, in Crooksville to Theodore and Mary (Burtnett) Cochran.
He is survived by his mother, Mary (Burtnett) Cochran Mossholder of Keller, Texas; his loving wife of 28 years, Patricia (Whited) Cochran, whom he married Nov. 26, 1976, in Marengo; three sons, Steve Cochran of Delaware, Larry Cochran of Marengo and Devin Seavolt of Wyoming; daughters, Terri Rose Cochran, Tamara Cochran and Karen Wysocki, all of Marengo, and Sabrina Cochran of Wadsworth; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a brother, Jim Cochran of Texas; and sisters, Barb Deboard of Plano, Texas, Marie Carzares of Mesick, Mich., and Ellen McDuffy of Keller, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his father; a son, Kerry Seavolt; and a brother, David Cochran.
Friends may call Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Ohio 3 at Ohio 61, Sunbury, where funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. The Rev. Jim Brantingham will officiate. Interment will follow in Alum Creek Friends Cemetery with military honors provided by Marengo American Legion Post 710.
