Ashley Crowner
MOUNT VERNON — Ashley Taylor Mae-Lynn Crowner, 1, died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2004, at Children’s Hospital in Akron.

She was born Feb. 13, 2002, in Akron to James and Crystal (Dunagan) Crowner.
She is survived by her parents, Crystal (Tom) of Mount Vernon and James (Jammie) of Butler; two brothers, Charles Burke and Justice; maternal grandmother, Sue Dunagan of Danville; paternal grandfather, Charles (Karla) Crowner of Butler; paternal grandmother, Gwen (Gene) Cockrell of Fredericktown; uncles, Bill Dunagan of Glenmont, Jason Dunagan of San Diego, Jon Paul Dunagan of Danville and Gerald (Denise) Crowner of Butler; an aunt, Allison Cockrell of Fredericktown; four great-grandmothers; one great-grandfather; and one great-great-grandfather.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Dave Dunagan; great-grandfather, Ollie Dunagan; great-grandfather, Gerald Dunagan; great-grandfather, Loran Shink; an aunt, Judy Crowner; and a cousin, David Durbin.

Funeral service for Ashley will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville. Pastors Lloyd Miller and Patrick Bailey will officiate. Burial will be in Sand Ridge Cemetery near Jelloway. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Ashley Crowner Memorial Account at Killbuck Savings Bank in Danville.

Ralph E. Walls
COLUMBUS — Ralph E. Walls, 85, of Columbus died Feb. 7, 2004.

He served in the Air Force during World War II in the Pacific Theater. Ralph was employed by North American Rockwell for 27 years, during which time he helped construct a spare antenna and participated in other aspects of the company’s aerospace program. He enjoyed all the wonders of the natural world, poetry and travel. He had assisted in his grandson’s business for the last 13 years.

He is survived by daughters, Julia Snow and Sheila Clark; grandchildren, Bart Snow, Heather Severns and Mandy Clark; and great-grandchildren, Luke, McKenzie, Max, Maire, Tony and Bella; sisters, Ruth King, Mary Kathryn Wells, Jean Taylor, Lorraine Rickey; brothers, Harold and Paul; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Judy (Flannery).

Friends may call today from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Evans Funeral Home, 4171 E. Livingston Ave., Columbus, and on Wednesday one hour prior to the funeral which will be at 2 p.m. Pastor Marvin Haught will officiate. Interment will be Forest Lawn Cemetery, Columbus.
