Phil W. Bartel
GALLIPOLIS — Phil W. Bartel, 53, of Gallipolis died Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004,
at the home of his parents.
Phil was born Oct. 17, 1950, in Findlay to Emery and Pauline (Boster) Bartels. He was self-employed.
In addition to his parents of Gallipolis, Phil is survived by a daughter, Hollie Bartel of Point Pleasant, W.Va.; two grandchildren, Kayla Brumfield and Tyler Wamsley, both of Point Pleasant, W.Va.; a sister, Patty Snyder of Shelby; and one nephew, David D. Snyder of Shelby.
He was preceded in death by one infant brother.
The funeral service will be Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2004, at 1 p.m. at Willis Funeral Home in Gallipolis, with Pastor Rick Towe officiating. Burial will be in the Mound Hill Cemetery.

MOUNT VERNON — Genevieve H. “Ginny” Mild, 87, of Yauger Road,
Mount Vernon, died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2004, at the Ohio Eastern Star Home. The Snyder
Funeral Home in Mount Vernon is in charge of arrangements.
Andy N. Miller
FREDERICKTOWN — Andy N. Miller, 75, of Fredericktown died Friday, Feb. 6,
2004, at the Knox Community Hospital.
He was born Nov. 28, 1928, in Plain City.
He is survived by his wife, Mary E. (Yutzy) Miller; three children, Sarah Miller, Miriam (John) Miller and Ruth (Ralph) Davis, all of Fredericktown; one brother, Levi Miller of Jamesport, Mo.; three sisters, Esther Hochstetler, Rachel Miller and Mary Stutzman, all of Plain City.
Calling hours will be today at the Andy Miller residence. A service will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at the Edward Miller residence with Nelson Kauffman officiating. Burial will follow in Yoder Cemetery at Butler. The Snyder Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
Fred D. Skeen
UTICA — Calling hours for Fred D. Skeen, 65, of Florida, who died Feb. 6,
2004, will be Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Law-Baker Funeral Home,
34 N. Main St., Utica. A private graveside service will be held Friday in Moundview
Cemetery in Mount Vernon.
Mr. Skeen was born June 2, 1938, in Utica to Burl and Elnora Skeen. He graduated from Utica High School in 1956 and attended Ohio State University. He worked in sales management at Shoe Corp. of America, Herman Shoe Co., and retired from Red Wing Shoe Co. as national sales manager in 1996.
He is survived by his wife, Marcia (McDonald) Skeen, formerly of Mount Vernon, whom he married July 13, 1958; his children, Kelly (Bob) Schafer of Gross Ile, Mich., Greg (Sara) Skeen of Red Wing, Minn., and Jeff (Karen) Skeen of Bedford, N.H.; grandchildren, Drew and Spencer Schafer, Mitchell and Ryan Skeen, Devon O’Hare and Alyssa Skeen; a sister, Vivian (Jim) Nobilucci of Johnstown; and a nephew, Rodney (Gloria) Starcher of Newark.
