MOUNT VERNON — Mount Vernon Nazarene University will host author and speaker Jonathan Morrow on Monday at 7:15 p.m. in Faculty Hall 105 on campus. These events, part of MVNU’s Lecture Artist Series, are free and open to the public.

Morrow is the founder of, a nonprofit organization whose goal is to “help Christians understand what they believe, why they believe it, and why it matters.” He is also a prolific author, pastor and nationally acclaimed speaker.

Morrow is a graduate of Biola University where he earned an M.Div. and an M.A. in Philosophy of Religion and Ethics from the Talbot School of Theology. He has since returned to the Talbot School of Theology and is currently completing his final year of a D.Min. in Engaging Mind and Culture. He is also the equipping pastor for Fellowship Bible Church in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. As an author, Morrow has published numerous books, including “Welcome to College: A Christ-Follower’s Guide for the Journey,” “Think Christianly: Looking at the Intersection of Faith and Culture” and “Is God Just a Human Invention? And Seventeen Other Questions Raised by the New Atheists.”

A nationally recognized speaker, Morrow has presented at numerous churches, camps and conferences for organizations like Summit Ministries, Cru, and the Evangelical Philosophical Society. He has also been a guest on nationally-syndicated shows such as Breakpoint this Week, WAY-FM (Mornings with Brant), and Stand to Reason.
