MOUNT VERNON — How Mount Vernon City Schools spending cuts will affect the children and the community will be one of the topics discussed at a town hall on Wednesday at the Mount Vernon Public Library.
Sponsored by the Our Schools and Our Community Committee, the town hall begins at 7 p.m. and will feature several board members, the superintendent of the district plus levy committee members.
All community members are welcome to ask questions, make comments and share their concerns about public education in the Mount Vernon City Schools.
This is the fourth in a series of town halls sponsored by the Our Schools and Our Community Committee which is made up of concerned citizens and retired and active school personnel from Mount Vernon City Schools. One of the goals of OSOC is to provide an open and non-threatening venue for better communication between community members and Mount Vernon School personnel.
