KNOX COUNTY ó Knox County Treasurer Sandra Mizer reminds property owners that real estate tax statements have been mailed and are due Friday, Feb. 1.

Payments made by cash, check or money order will be accepted in the Treasurerís Office. Credit card payments may be made online at www.officialpayments.com. or by calling, 1-800-272-9829 with jurisdiction code, 8436. Official Payments, the service provider, charges a fee for this service.

Payments may also be made at the First-Knox National Bank where credit cards will be treated as a cash advance. Mailed payments must be postmarked at the Post Office by midnight Feb. 1.

The Treasurerís Office is located at 117 E. High St., Suite 103, in Mount Vernon. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Property owners are reminded they are responsible for paying their taxes even if a statement is not received. If anyone fails to receive a statement, they should contact the Treasurersí Office at 740-393-6739.
