MOUNT VERNON — The YMCA of Mount Vernon is committed to fighting hunger within our community. The YMCA will collect food items to benefit this year’s Food For The Hungry drive through Dec. 8.
Individuals who donate 10 items of food will receive one free day pass to use at the YMCA facilities – up to three times during the drive. If you are already a YMCA member you may share your free pass with a friend or family member.
When all of the food is delivered to the Food For The Hungry drive on Dec. 8, there will be two clear beneficiaries — the needy in our community and the community members who learned valuable lessons by sharing this holiday season.
Donations can be dropped off at the main YMCA building at 103 N. Main St. For more information, contact the YMCA at 740-392-9622.
