MOUNT VERNON — They packed them in at the Dan Emmett Music & Arts Festival and drew over 600 people in 2011 to benefit Food for the Hungry, the Chautauqua Beatles will return to the Memorial Theater in Mount Vernon for the second year to help the needy of Knox County. John, Paul, George and Ringo, the Fab Four, who rocked our world with their music and changed our society will perform live in Mount Vernon, with a little help from their friends.

Ringo Starr, portrayed by Bill Miller, George Harrison (Desmond Wall), John Lennon (Jim Stoner), and Paul McCartney (Mike Petee) will bring the Beatles to life by singing and playing their songs and telling stories they might have told.

Elixir and the popular Chautauqua Series, co-sponsored by the Ohio Humanities Council and the Ariel Foundation, present in partnership with Food For The Hungry, the chance to experience a Beatles reunion of sorts, at the Memorial Theatre on Nov. 30 at 7:30 p.m. Suggested cost of admission is one or more food items (please see top 10 needs list at FoodForTheHungryCares.org) and/or a monetary donation (either give at the door or in collection baskets that will be passed during the performance). If unable to give, everyone is invited to come and enjoy.

“The Beatles music touched our lives in so many ways,” said Mike Petee, Chautauqua organizer and portrayer of Paul McCartney. “It brought smiles, comfort and acceptance to us who were in need of heroes. Their songs preached love and we are honored to bring their music to our community to aid those who need it at this time.
