COLUMBUS — Hunter Hammons, six months old, was listed in fair condition this morning at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus.

Hunter has been at Children’s Hospital with second and third degree burns to his arm and leg since Friday, Jan. 17.

According to a Facebook comment posted Wednesday evening by Hunter’s mother, Lora Miller, Hunter has no sensation in his left foot. Surgery is scheduled for next week when doctors are expected to amputate his foot, she said.

Miller said Hunter will “hopefully (be) going home at the end of February.”

How Hunter was burned remains under investigation by the Mount Vernon Police Department.
