COLUMBUS — Hunter Hammons, now six months old, is listed in fair condition this morning at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus. Hammons has been at Nationwide Children’s Hospital since Friday, Jan. 17, when he was transported from Knox Community Hospital after burns were discovered on his arm and leg.
In the 911 call placed by a caregiver, he stated that Hunter appeared to be burned but no cause was provided. Hunter has since undergone surgeries, however, no new information has been released by the family.
The Mount Vernon Police Department continues to investigate the situation, but has declined to comment on the case.
