MOUNT VERNON — Eight bids were opened Thursday morning at the Knox County Service Center for the potential demolition of Mazza’s Restaurant in conjunction with the Moving Ohio Forward grant program. The bids were read by Knox County Board of Commissioners President Teresa Bemiller, while also attending were City of Mount Vernon Engineer Cameron Keaton and Amy Shocken, partner with Community Development Consultants of Ohio, plus numerous representatives submitting bids.
