MOUNT VERNON — A renovation project at the Kahrl & Company building at 115 S. Mulberry St. suffered a setback Tuesday.

A wall being shored up at the back of the building settled and cracked the wall along the south side. People at the First-Knox National Bank Service Center across the alley spotted the cracks about 4:30 p.m. and called the company.
