DANVILLE — Charles Dickens’ classic Christmas tale of greed and redemption comes to life at 7 p.m. this Friday and Saturday when students from Danville and East Knox perform “A Christmas Carol – The Musical.”
Scrooge, the ghosts and the Cratchit family, including Tiny Tim, will take to the Danville High School stage along with elementary students from both school districts. Scrooge is portrayed by East Knox thespian Joe Byers. Halley Diehl, East Knox, plays the Ghost of Christmas Past. The Ghost of Christmas Present is Tanesha Lewis, East Knox, and the Ghost of Christmas Future is Danville’s Lelia Dusthimer. Tony Gault, East Knox, performs the part of the long-suffering Bob Cratchit; Kimmy Hansen, Danville, is Mrs. Cratchit; and Kane Lannoy, East Knox, shines as Tiny Tim.
Musical numbers in the production include “Link by Link,” by the ghost of Scrooge’s partner Jacob Marley; “The Lights of Long Ago,” by the ghost of Christmas Past; and “God Bless Us Everyone.”
Tickets cost $7 for adults and $4 for students. They are available for pre-sale by calling 740-599-6116 ext. 5419 or may be purchased at the door the day of the performances.
