DANVILLE — Discussion of alleys, sidewalks and water fountains were on tap when the Danville Village Council met Monday.
Mayor Bob Dile reported there were a few complaints about the village’s new process on alleys, but that it seemed to be working. The village has been placing grindings on the alleys in an effort to create a more stable base. Dile said there is still some work to do, but the process seems to be working and next summer they should have a nice base for vehicle traffic.
Residents Bob and Joy Blubaugh brought a concern to council about youths building a ramp on the sidewalk near their home. They were concerned about the liability if one of the children gets hurt and wanted to know if there was anything that could be done. Village Solicitor Noel Alden said they should be OK in any liability issues since it is on a public right of way, but there’s still a chance it could turn against the Blubaughs.
