DANVILLE — The Danville Board of Education on Monday observed a moment of silence at the beginning of the meeting to remember Alexander Lindsay and his family. Lindsay, a former principal in the district and long-time community member, passed away Sunday.
The rest of the meeting was largely routine, Treasurer Mary Payne told the News on Tuesday.
The board issued a formal “thank you” to the Danville Fire Department for changing the light bulbs at the football field and to Shawn Baldridge for furnishing the lift that was used to paint the flagpole at the administration building.
