GAMBIER — The beauty of the U.S. Constitution lies in its simplicity and straight-forward statements, Ohio Supreme Court Justice Judith French told an audience at Kenyon College, Tuesday evening.
French was at Kenyon to mark Constitution Day, the 226th anniversary of the signing of the U.S. Constitution in 1787. Her appearance was arranged by the Center for the Study of American Democracy.
About 50 people attended the talk by French in Gund Gallery, but she had been at the college through the afternoon, meeting with students to discuss the importance of the U.S. and Ohio documents and how the Supreme Court works.
