UTICA — Lori Green is the new principal of Utica Junior High School. A former English teacher, she served North Fork as assistant high school principal last year.
Green earned her teaching and administrative credentials at Indiana University and has been an educator for 19 years.
She said the North Fork community has been welcoming and supportive.
“It reminds me of home,” Green said. “I grew up on a farm and have a rural background, so this is a good fit for me.”
Green said she plans to encourage the staff to continue to implement sound instructional practices and told the News her educational philosophy is to develop and educate the whole child.
Green and her husband, Craig Nelson, have two adult children, Melissa and Aaron, who are both attending Indiana University.
