MOUNT VERNON — Clinton W. Horlacher, 27, Centerburg, was convicted Friday of aggravated vehicular assault and operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol. Knox County Common Pleas Judge Otho Eyster sentenced Horlacher to 180 days in jail.
After Horlacher is released from jail he will serve a three-year term of community control supervision including mandatory drug and alcohol treatment. Horlacher was also ordered to pay a $375 fine and his driver’s license was suspended for one year.
Knox County Prosecutor John Thatcher said Horlacher will serve a 17-month prison term, if he violates the terms of his supervision.
On July 29 at about 2 a.m., Ohio State Highway Patrol Trooper Paul Shore was dispatched to a one-vehicle roll over injury crash on County Road 23. Thatcher said Horlacher was driving under the influence of alcohol and his female passenger sustained serious injuries as the result of the crash.
Hanna R. Harman, 20, Johnstown, was convicted of trafficking in heroin. Harman will serve a three-year term of community control supervision including mandatory drug and alcohol treatment and a six-month driver’s license suspension. Harman will serve a 17-month prison term, if she violates the terms of her supervision. Harman already served 32 days in jail. Thatcher said Harman sold heroin to a confidential informant working for the Knox County Sheriff’s Office on Oct. 19 and 26, 2012. Detective Doug Turpen investigated the case.
