MOUNT VERNON — Two Coshocton Avenue businesses have set opening dates while a third remains on the fence as to whether or not it will open in the city.
A Nov. 1 opening is set for Dairy Queen Grill and Chill at 1600 Coshocton Ave.
Manager Valerie Haythorn told the News that staff is being organized with training scheduled to begin Oct. 23. Painting and setup of the interior is taking place this week, and “barring any emergency, we’ll be ready to go on Nov. 1,” said Haythorn.
Plans are on schedule for Buffalo Wild Wings to open Monday, Dec. 17, at 907 Coshocton Ave. Business owner Larry Tipton told the News that construction work is currently underway at the site.
Between 100 and 120 employees will be hired for the initial opening, according to Tipton. That number will be scaled back a few weeks into operation as business begins to level out.
Buffalo Wild Wings will have a liquor license when they open for business, which was carried over from a location in Reynoldsburg. This is possible through a method called trexing.
