DELAWARE — Former Mount Vernon resident and Ohio State Buckeye standout Jim Stillwagon was arrested and charged with one count of felonious assault following what has been labeled a weekend road rage incident in Delaware County.
According to authorities, shots were fired while Stillwagon and Richard Mattingly, Kettering, were traveling on the highway Sunday. Witnesses said additional shots were fired after the pair exited onto William Street.
Stillwagon, 63, Columbus, was driving a motorcycle and Mattingly was operating a tractor-trailer.
Mattingly was taken to the hospital and treated and released.
Bond was set this morning for $350,000 cash or a 10 percent surety fee. Stillwagon is to surrender all his firearms to law enforcement and stay away from the victim. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 10.
Stillwagon attended St. Vincent through middle school and transferred to Augusta Military Academy in Virginia.
