MVNU students gearing up for Lifeline
MOUNT VERNON -- Radio station WNZR at Mount Vernon Nazarene University launched its annual fund-raiser, Lifeline 2007, with an outdoor prayer service Wednesday morning. The event will run through Saturday, followed by a “wrap-up”on Monday.

New sex offender bill to be introduced
MOUNT VERNON -- As the Ohio Supreme Court prepares to tackle the legality of evicting some sex offenders from homes within 1,000 feet of a school, one Cleveland area legislator plans to introduce a bill that would make simply living there a crime.

Shepard headed home; others alive
COLUMBUS -- Highland freshman Mike Shepard emerged from the darkness of the bullpen on to the mats. He looked around to find himself standing in front of a crowd of at least 10,000 and Ohio’s wrestling elite. Blue Devils’season ends in loss
DUBLIN -- Despite a strong effort, the Danville High School boys basketball team saw its season come to an end on Thursday night. The Blue Devils were defeated by Harvest Preparatory, 77-48, at Dublin Scioto High School. The Blue Devils managed to push the Warriors at times, but lacked the depth and fire power that was needed to make the big push.
