MOUNT GILEAD — Della Marie Dailey, 88, of Mount Gilead, passed away Friday, Dec. 26, 2014, at Bennington Glen in Marengo, Ohio. She was born April 2, 1926, in Beverly, Ohio, the daughter of Lory and Mary (Ward) Barton. After graduating with perfect attendance for 12 years of schooling, Della worked with her father in the manufacturing of ice for businesses and farm homes. She also worked for Bair’s Dry Cleaning in Mount Vernon for over 30 years and owned and operated Dailey’s Army Surplus since 1960 with her late husband, Carl Dailey.

She is survived by two brothers, Ralph (Lucy) Barton of Coal Run, Ohio and Marion Barton of Chesterville; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl R. Dailey.

Friends may call Tuesday, from 4-7 p.m., at the Snyder Funeral Home, 33 E. College St., Fredericktown. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, beginning at 11 a.m., in Beverly Cemetery.
