BLADENSBURG — James H. Hale, 82, of Bladensburg, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born Feb. 22, 1933, in Prestonsburg, Ky., to Tan and Minerva (Skeens) Hale.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Marie (Johnson) Hale; his five children, James C. (Debra) Hale of North Carolina, Kelvin (Kim) Hale of Gambier, Dreama (Raymond) Kobermann of Westerville, Candy Brown of Newark and Crystal (Luke Rice) Hale of Utica; a half sister, Dorothy (Jack) Storck of Groveport; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
James was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Evelyn Jewell and Geneva Williamson.

Friends may call Saturday, from noon to 2 p.m., at Bladensburg Church of Christ, where a memorial service will start at 2 p.m. with Pastor Ben McKinstry officiating. The Dilley-Lasater Funeral Home in Bladensburg is handling the services for the Hale family.
