MOUNT VERNON — You win some, you lose some. Former Mount Vernon Police Sgt. Mark Perkins won one of the two grievances he filed earlier this year, but it wasn’t enough to get his job back.

Arbitrator’s Report Adobe Reader Required

Perkins appealed every level of the grievance process to the arbitration phase for both a five-day suspension and his termination. At the heart of the arbitrator’s responsibility was to conclude whether or not the suspension and termination were warranted for just cause, and, if the results were the “proper remedy.”
