MOUNT VERNON — Knowledge can come to a person in many ways, from individual study to lectures to discussions and other group activities. One of those group events took place at the Kenyon College Aquatic Center on Saturday, where Mount Vernon swimming alumni took to the pool in friendly competition against the current Yellow Jacket swim team.

Ian Richardson, who won a Division III National Championship as a senior at Kenyon College last March, Gavin Rundell, Johnson Cochran, Brad Snow, Eric Diehl and Steve Sant were among the male alumni present; and Emily Miglin and Cassie Metcalf were part of the female contingent.

But it was more than just a feel-good get together for Mount Vernon swim coach Josh Kline.
