Utica has no answer for Licking Valley

NEWARK — Utica suffered a complete beatdown at the hands of Licking Valley on Friday night, losing 41-7.
The Panthers (5-1) scored twice in each of the first quarters, with Ty Griffith and Hunter Hartshorn tallying two times each for a 27-0 lead. Hartshorn scored again in the third quarter to make it 34-0, and Bailey Hayden’s run in the fourth left Licking Valley ahead, 41-0.
Travis Baldwin finally reached the end zone for the Redskins (1-5) on a 50-yard run late in the fourth quarter. Baldwin finished with 107 yards on 16 carries.
Overall, Utica finished with 67 total yards, including 27 rushes for 63 yards and 2-of-7 passing for 4 yards.
Utica will take to the road again next Friday for a 7 p.m. start against Heath.
