12:32 p.m. October 31, 2011Hotchkiss- There’s still no sign of a missing hunter in the mountains near Hotchkiss.

73-year-old Terry Baughn, of Ohio, is lost on Bureau of Land Management land near Green Mountain. That’s northwest of Hotchkiss. He’s been missing since Tuesday.

Dozens of people, including members of the Delta County, Gunnison, and Hotchkiss Search and rescue teams are looking for him, including his own hunting partners.

Searchers found Baughn’s four-wheeler, but he was nowhere to be found. They say there’s a chance he’s injured somewhere.

10:03 p.m. October 30, 2011 Hotchkiss – The search continues in Delta County for a missing hunter. Seventy-three-year-old Terry Baughn of Ohio hasn’t been seen since Tuesday afternoon. He’s lost on BLM land near Green Mountain, northwest of Hotchkiss.

Delta County Sheriff officials told NewsChannel Five Saturday afternoon an additional 15 searchers are on the mountain looking for the man. They say weather is improving in the area and they hope to cover more ground in the search.

9:00 a.m. October 28, 2011GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (AP) — Authorities have found the body of one missing hunter in western Colorado, but the search is continuing for a missing hunter from Ohio in another part of western Colorado.

Mesa County sheriff’s officials say an Army National Guard helicopter crew and civilians spotted the body of 49-year-old Jim McCarthy of Glenwood Springs, Colo., on Thursday morning. He had been missing on Grand Mesa since Tuesday night.

KKCO-TV in Grand Junction reports (http://bit.ly/rMaKRS ) searchers found McCarthy’s father-in-law alive earlier in the week.

Separately, KREX-TV reports (http://bit.ly/tYEYXr), authorities in Delta County are looking near Hotchkiss for 75-year-old Terry Baughn of Howard, Ohio, who was reported overdue early Wednesday. A helicopter normally used to spray fields is helping. Sheriff Mark Taylor says Baughn has hunted in the area for more than 40 years.
