It is horrible, it broke a strut on my car at idle speed, knocked it out of alignment, not to mention has caused several traveling issues for people un familiar with the area, out of ambulance services going 229 East were told go around and had no clue where “around” was. Why waste the money on the road when semi’s are going to sink the bricks again and cause more damage???? Pave it less upkeep and safer driving when ice comes it is Ohio, we do have ice!
I just don’t like all the dust. I have had to clean my car so many times since this thing started.
I’m not having any damage on my cars. Every thing seems to be going fine.
I try to take different ways around it if possible.
Can’t wait until its done, it will be nice.
I do think it would go faster if they just shut down the road and do both sides at the same time.
Ya would be a pain but would have gone faster.
We try to avoid Gay Street.
It’s best to avoid taking that route when not needed. I drive an older car, and I have had no trouble with any damages to my car. If you slow down, there is not going to be any damage done. Traffic itself is a whole other story in Mount Vernon! It’s getting worse and worse. Nothing to do with the construction however.
I avoid it at all costs. Too dusty and bumpy.
avoid the area as much as possible and also surrounding streets (where most of the traffic is going to avoid the mess also)
it is hurting alot of peoples car’s even if you slow down I don’t see why they just didn’t pave over the bricks and say tax payers alot more money. all this did is make more of a mess.
Yeah, I avoid downtown like the plague…
Affected my driving habits? By this question you mean did or does it affect it?? No-I am still cautious but w/the construction I avoid the area at any cost-it is a complete pain in the butt!
Its awful it messed up my rear end on my car its all messed up too bumpy and too spread apart should work on 1 section at a time!!
messed up my rims on my car
