Cougars win with lights-out shooting

Mount Vernon Nazarene University men’s basketball came out of the gates unconscious from the floor against visiting Marian on Tuesday, as it built a 55-36 halftime lead en route to a 91-68 Crossroads League win.

MLK service promotes ‘beloved community’

The second annual Knox County Innerfaith Martin Luther king Day Worship Service focused on becoming a “beloved community,” a theme Dr. King spoke of often, according to Rev. Scott Elliott, pastor at First Congregational Church and one of the organizers of the event.
