The Utica Redskins wrestling team, led by a pair of individual first place finishers, Dawson Smith (120 pounds) and Matt Seifert (126 pounds), scored 198 team points to place third at the annual Utica Wrestling Invitational on Saturday.

Pheasants Forever banquet draws big turnout

On Saturday, hunting, outdoor, and nature conservation enthusiasts came together for the annual Knox County Pheasants Forever banquet to test their luck on raffle games, raise the stakes by bidding in silent and live auctions, and have a good time knowing that all the funds from the auction will be staying in Knox County for Pheasants Forever activities and events.

Getting back to road play in the Ohio Cardinal Conference on Thursday after a home win over first-place West Holmes on Monday, the Mount Vernon girls’ basketball team kept the winning going, winning its 10th game in a row with a 62-50 victory over Ashland.
