Joshua Morrison/News At noon on Thursday, a Knox County Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting was held at the Laurels Outpatient and Rehabilitation Center, 117 Columbus Road, Fredericktown. Located in a former biology room of the old high school, the room features various gym equipment as well as a private room for more one-on-one care. A short proclamation from Congressman Bob Gibbs office was read. Construction crews remove the sign from the former Farley and Moore Antiques, 104 S. Main St, Mount Vernon. A new banner was hung, announcing the opening of the Mount Vernon Nazarene University Engineering Building in the fall of 2018.

Sign of the times

The transformation of the former Farley and Moore Antiques shop on South Main Street has begun. The building will house the engineering department for the Mount Vernon Nazarene University as well as Knox Labs.
