Joshua Morrison/News While the announcement of Payless ShoeSource’s closing in Knox Village Square is still fresh in the minds of local shoppers, those with an affinity for shoes will continue to have options in Mount Vernon. Shoe Carnival will round out the final retail space in the Marshall’s shopping center on Coshocton Avenue. Kelsey Sheehan, marketing and public relations manager of the shoe chain, confirmed the move on Tuesday. The store is set to open sometime this summer, though no specific date has been set.
