Joshua Morrison/News On Monday night, a drug awareness walk started from the Station Break, 160 Howard St., and walked west to Main Street before heading north towards the Public Square. Signs like these were carried by young and old to help bring drug awareness.

Walkers unified in fight

In a show of solidarity and support, members of Mount Vernon Aglow, along with community organizations and individuals, walked from Howard Street to Public Square to bring awareness of the opiate drug epidemic plaguing the county.

A time-honored music genre —barbershop — is alive and well at Mount Vernon Nazarene University this week as 146 campers take part in the Ohio Harmony Xperience to keep America singing in classic harmony.
