Activity consistent at animal shelter

MOUNT VERNON — All is normal at the Knox County Animal Shelter, according to Dog Warden John Carhart.
Carhart reported to the Knox County Commissioners on Thursday that 46 dogs entered the shelter during June and 46 left the shelter.

Project will plug water issues

The village of Danville is about ready to begin work on the wastewater treatment facility after additional infiltration issues within the system will be addressed.
Bids on the trenchless sewer repair project were awarded recently and there may be some residual money left over from a $140,000 Ohio Environmental Protection Agency grant to apply to other storm sewer issues, according to Danville Mayor Bob Dile.

Danville takes its next step with water issues

Water, especially the sewer system, continues to be a main topic of conversation in Danville.
Members of Danville’s village council heard from Village Administrator Rob McDonald at the meeting Monday about several projects and items with the water system in the village.
