HOWARD — Outside the boys locker room at East Knox’s high school gym is a sign that reads, “Victory is always possible for the person who refuses to stop fighting.”

If the players on the boys basketball team didn’t believe it before, they believe it now.

Despite trailing by over 20 points in the second half of Tuesday’s nonconference game against Loudonville, East Knox battled back to put the outcome in doubt late in the game. The final score, 65-58, didn’t so much reflect a victory for the Redbirds; instead, it showed that the Bulldogs simply ran out of time.
