DANVILLE — The Bears came out on fire but the Danville Devils’ dynamic duo doused them.

Skyler Durbin (26 points and 12 rebounds) and Dylan James (25 points) led the way for the Danville Blue Devils, who tamed the River View Black Bears in Tuesday evening non-conference action, 72-49.

It was Danville’s final regular season home game and the fans honored seniors Durbin and his fellow seniors Tyler Mickley (four assists) and Trey Fritz (nine points).

“I just wanted to enjoy it all,” Durbin said. “I wanted to soak it all up and enjoy the moment with my fellow seniors.”

But that was all they had — a moment. The Black Bears came out at the game’s onset and jumped out to a 11-8 lead.
